098/365 Fishermen's Co-op

We were in Tuncurry, renewing our passports at the Post Office, and called in here afterwards..

Commercial fishing on Wallis Lake dates back to the early 1900’s with the Wallis Lake Fishermen’s
Co-operative being established in 1947 (Great Lakes Historical Society, pers. comm).
There are approximately 68 commercial fishers operating on Wallis Lake (NSWF, 2003a)

" Our local fishermen are the shareholders of the Wallis Lake Fish Co-op. They work to sell the best seafood locally and then send the remaining catch to the markets in Sydney, ensuring that the freshest and best quality seafood is kept here in their local community. Fresh produce is also sent to Sydney 5 times per week and our seafood is well known to buyers on the auction floor as one of the best."

This sounds like a successful trip! I wish we could renew our passports at the post office....we have to pay for a new one every 10 years and you often have to wait for weeks to get it done.

Photos and application submitted at the post office. Will still take a while for processing. Also 10 year scenario, and expensive.

Schön, dass ihr das Notwendige mit dem Angenehmen verbinden konntet.
