58/365 Tacking Point in 2025

Stunning day in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia.

A visit to our favourite lighthouse, which now has a new access walkway with great views.

Tacking Point was named by Matthew Flinders in 1802, on HMS Investigator.

This lighthouse is one of five along the northern NSW coastline designed by noted colonial architect James Barnet.

Tacking Point Lighthouse was built in 1879.

It is looked after so well.

What a wonderful colour composition, with the white of the lighthouse in the middle of the different blue shades of sky and sea
