This rock, called the Rock of the Apparition, on the top of which there is a statue of St. Anne with Mary looking at the shepherdess at the base of the rock. According to tradition, St. Anne told this shepherdess to build a church dedicated to Mary's parents. The church was built on a stone slab, and to the latter owes its particular inclination of the floor.
