Every time we drive down the M5 I see signs for Gloucester Docks. This photo makes me want to turn off and have a look.

Amelia, if you have an hour or two to spare when you're passing by, it's worth a stop. The docks have been sensitively 'gentrified' to make the area pleasant and liveable, but there's still plenty of history on show, and boats still meander up and down the Gloucester to Sharpness canal. There are also a collection of good food destinations, and, of course, a 'retail therapy' experience if that's your thing.

Good grief, I didn't think I'd be a volunteer for Gloucestershire Tourist Authority today :-)
