"Where there is no way, I will make one."

The quote ("Aut viam inveniam aut faciam", in Latin) attributed to the Carthaginian general Hannibal about crossing the Alps, seemed appropriate for this shot from quite a few years ago.

This was taken in Mexico, at an old Mayan temple site. I thought it was a great example of how nature will find a way to break through and reclaim land from humanity over time. Also, it's a good example of why you shouldn't plant a tree too close to your house! :-)
