Is that what they call a mackerel sky?

It is indeed, Bob. Also known as a buttermilk sky. We see a lot of these in the lower Great Lakes because the jetstream moves back and forth across them, and that brings rain, which mackerel skies are a harbinger of. I have a few more photos in my mackerel skies album.
