No, he wouldn't have. I really don't know why I think the photos were inspired by Broadway Boogie-Woogie, although I firmly believe they were. Maybe I actually was influenced by real boogie-woogie.

A bit of everything here John......but strangely no traffic lights. It's very striking though and the red and yellow sign draw the eye nicely..!!
