John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks, Keith. There are many shop windows like this in Toronto, and they always lifted my spirits when I lived there.

so many different objects in this shop window... is this a junk shop?

John FitzGerald replied to Gabi Lombardo:

I believe it's one of many cheap gift shops on Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street West in Toronto, Gabi. I think they get their trade from tourists visiting the neighbourhood to eat at the many fine Chinese restaurants.

They are worldwide in the gift shops, though you don't need to travel anywhere to get these plastic toys.

The cheap non-Chinese gift shops here tend to put more depictions of Elvis, Jesus, and the Virgin Mary in their windows.
