Thanks, Bob. I think it's paint. Bird droppings are streaky (you may remember my Pigeonalism post of long ago -- actually I suppose not -- but trust me on this, my neighbourhood in Toronto was a good spot for ornithoscatology). Oh -- these were just lined up in the street awaiting deployment.
