Toronto house #14

An upscale bay-and-gable house with a much larger footprint than most, in the Annex un Toronto, It was built in 1891. This photo was taken in 2008; Google Maps shows this house in 2023 being used as a site office on a construction site. Its paint has been removed (many old houses in Toronto were painted in the 1960s thus concealing the fine 18th-century brick), and the building is intended to stand alone after construction is completed.

The house looks really lovely in this shot John. So lovely in fact, that I'm amazed it is being currently used as a construction site office. It would be perfect as a family residence.

Beautifully captured by the way..!!

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks, Keith. This house is in a very expensive neighbourhood, so only well-off families could afford it. I found the developer's depictions of the completed site, and this building will stand alone afterwards.
