CN Tower is amazing!

John FitzGerald replied to Stephan Fey:

I got to watch it go up from my desk, Stephan. The office I worked in had a giant picture window facing the tower, which was 2 km at most away. We got to watch the enormous helicopter put the uppermost sections on.

An interesting scene, I rather like the signs: STOP .... the world! :-)

John FitzGerald replied to tiabunna:

I also like the idea of "signalized" intersections, George. I'm not sure I'd know what to look for. It sounds as if it means intersections that didn't have signals to begin with, and how are you supposed to know that?

Another fine city-shot. Colors and composition !

John FitzGerald replied to Ulrich John:

Thanks, Ulrich. The vivid colours came from a cross-processing effect I used to give it the look of an old postcard.

And some people at the time said it wouldn't be able to withstand the strong winds Toronto gets.

Léopold replied to John FitzGerald:

A very legitimate concern, given the destructive winds that constantly threaten us.

I agree. London, Ontario is even windier. I got blown off the sidewalk across a boulevard into the road a few years ago.
