A vertigo-inspiring image, John! LOL. I hope you have a great new week. All the best, Joe

John FitzGerald replied to Joe, Son of the Rock:

Thanks, Joe. I won't go out on mu ba;cony in winter. It has a low railing and I have long legs. This zoomed-up shot through a window is vertiginous enough for me.

The elevated viewpoint works well with the footprints and colours standing out against the snow, John.

John FitzGerald replied to tiabunna:

Thanks, George. I used to be very meticulous about snow, but often it seems better to smooth it out for a background.

Bins love the snow, although they're not sure how to interact with it...

John FitzGerald replied to Denis Croissant:

They were invented in Slough, Denis, so probably unfamiliar with Canadian winter.

An interesting view from a great viewpoint John...............viewed large the detail is superb, especially all the footprints in the snow. The wheelie bins stand out nicely, even though they're not particularly pretty :-))

It's easy to understand why you shot this through the window instead of out on the balcony!!

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

When I was a kid, Keith, I used to try to be the first to walk in new snow. I figured it was the only time in my life I was going to be the first to do anything.
