Didn't I used to read about the Green Arrow in my comic books? Far too long ago to remember.

A simple shot, in bold colors, very pleasing. But, as a practical matter, I hope this isn't so far overhead that I have to crane my neck to know whether to stop or proceed.

Random thoughts that occur looking at a photograph.

There was a comic book hero called the Green Hornet........perhaps that's who you were thinking about?

John FitzGerald replied to rdhinmn:

Thanks, Bob. I don't remember Green Arrow but he definitely was a cartoon character. From the other side of the street no neck-craning needed.

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks, Keith. The colours were probably what attracted me. As my profile says, I like bright colours and shiny things.

No - from a Google search: "Green Arrow is a superhero who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Mort Weisinger and designed by George Papp, he first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 on September 19, 1941, the same issue that debuted Aquaman."

From Wikipedia:

The Green Hornet is a superhero created in 1936 by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker, with input from radio director James Jewell.

Since his 1930s radio debut, the character has appeared in numerous serialized dramas in a wide variety of media. The Green Hornet appeared in film serials in the 1940s, The Green Hornet television series in the 1960s, (which costarred Bruce Lee in his first adult role), multiple comic book series from the 1940s onwards,[1] and a film in 2011.

This is who I was thinking about...........I'd never heard of the Green Arrow :-)))

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Green Arrow was less popular than Green Lantern. Apparently the two of them started having adventures togethr in the 60s but I missed them.

My favourite cartoon character was the Scottish Dennis the Menace. My aunt in Norfolk used to send me the Beano annual for Christmas. He was much more interesting then the American Dennis the Menace. A right little sociopath.
