It's a telephone switchbox, I think, Denis. That installation has interested me for some time but this is the first photo I've taken of it. One of those things that gets airbrushed out of postcards or just forgotten in architects' drawings.

I think it was only recently vandalized, Sarah. Perhaps they will fix it soon. When all the power in the neighbourhood goes out, most likely.
