Cur-paper collage.
Background by Jean Arp. Where would Dada have been without the Arp brothers? Not as brilliant, that's for sure.
Golden-yellow strips by Josef Albers. Albers was a brilliant teacher on the subject of color. And he practiced what he preached: just check out the beauty of the combinations of colors in those yellow strips.
Now you'd think, "OK, a class on color: that would require paint." Wrong. Albers passed out to the class selected packs of solid colored paper, then challenged them to combine them in different ways to see how they interacted with each other. Since we can't take his course, we have the next best thing:
his book. Highly recommended!
