Strolling with my zebra friend

Sheldrick Trust Nairobi Nursery
Nairobi National Park
Kenya

The Sheldrick Trust Nairobi Nursery is known for rescuing orphaned elephants and rehabilitating them to live in the wild. They have also rescued other animals. Notty the zebra was rescued in September 2025 after her mother fell off a cliff. Her best friend is another orphan - a black rhino - that was rescued about the same time. Until she is independent enough to fend for herself, she is cared for by the staff and protected from the park lions, who would love nothing more than to have a meal of baby zebra.
