All dreaming of victory. When I first read your info it sounded like this ..... is buried somewhere in the PARK. I thought the marathon must have been too much for Evans Chebet. ;-))

Never ran a whole marathon myself, but I ran some half marathons. In the time they need for a whole marathon, I am about to enter the last two kms of my half marahon ;-)
And that is a victory too, I might add.And yes, I do dream of completing a whole marahon.

I am a hiker, but a calm one even if I enjoy hard extreme hikes, I like walking and hiking at my own pace, looking at nature, allowing my self to interiorise.
I never understood the interest of competition, I never look at sports, in fact a world I don't understand and don't fit in.
We are all different... the important is doing as one pleases without disturbing others, no ?
