Lexington, Massachusetts Fireworks to celebrate Independence Day. I attended the magnificent Boston celebration a day earlier but did not bring my good camera because thunderstorms were in the forecast. We were treated to a magnificent lighting show for about an hour before the fireworks. Police urged people to take cover because of the danger from lighting strikes. As soon as the fireworks began, it started to pour. I had an umbrella and a rain poncho, so I stayed dry, but most of the spectators got soaked.
