back to the roots
Since last World Photography Day I’m too tired to carry big camera equipment along and fell in love with a pocketable 260gr Ricoh GR IIIx - 40mm. This minimalism offers me everything I need! In my age I compare this little gem to a Minox 35/2.8 in my backpack over some decades before a Leica analogue period. Even with digital gear I mostly discovered my world through prime lenses around 40mm. My World Photography Day with GRIIIx: Challenge is over - joy is back.

One can have a great camera, but the best camera in the world is the one you carry with you all the time.
I really do prefer a prime lens (one reason I'm annoyed by my phone camera, even though I do use it quite a bit). A 40mm is close to what our eye sees, right?
Thanks for participating, it's fun to see cameras people use and have used.
