Le Mémorial ACTe de Pointe-à-Pitre, inauguré en 2015 par le Président de la république française, rend un hommage collectif, à travers une vision historique, économique et politique, aux millions d'africains déportés et exploités via la traite négrière et l'esclavagisme. Il veut être une vigie sur l'exploitation qui, à ses dires, persiste encore de nos jours de façon détournée mais tout aussi inhumaine. Sa localisation au sein des Antilles françaises met l'accent sur le commerce triangulaire organisé par les nations occidentales du XVème au XIXème siècles, au profit de perspectives guidées par le seul expansionnisme au cœur de la nouvelle Amérique.

The Pointe-à-Pitre ACTe Memorial, Guadeloupe, inaugurated in 2015 by the President of the French Republic, pays a collective tribute, through a historical, economic and political vision, to the millions of Africans deported and exploited through the negriere trade and slavery. It wants to be a watchdog over the exploitation which, according to it, still persists nowadays in an indirect but equally inhuman way. Its location within the French West Indies emphasizes the triangular trade organized by Western nations from the 15th to the 19th centuries, for the benefit of perspectives guided by the only expansionism in the heart of the new America.
