Red sun over Whirlow, south-west Sheffield, England on 16th October 2017. Similar views were had over many parts of the UK. It was caused by dust in the atmosphere from the Sahara and forest fires in Spain and Portugal, brought over to the UK by winds from Hurricane Ophelia.
