Mossy wall
The popular main footpath through the upper reaches of the steep-sided Limb Valley runs halfway up the northern flank of the the valley side. To follow the Limb Brook itself in the valley bottom can entail a somewhat muddy adventure, often through a tangle of undergrowth, fallen trees and branches. Not many people choose this way, so one can be quite alone and mostly hidden from everyone else.
The moss-covered remains of this old stone boundary wall made a nice colour contrast with the carpet of fallen leaves.
