The Stronchrubie Crags are a prominent feature by the side of the A837 Ledmore to Inchnadamph road in Sutherland, north-west Scotland. The cliffs here are comprised of the Eilean Dubh Formation - dolostones (dolomitic limestones) forming part of the Durness Group (formerly the 'Durness Limestone').

The rocks in lower part of the cliff are gently dipping to the east (into the photo) and appear nearly horizontal in this view. In the upper part of the cliff, the dolostones form multiple, steeply dipping thrust slices of the Stronchrubie imbricate zone, separated from the lower part by the Stronchrubie Thrust.

This location is part of the classic area of Scottish geology - the Assynt Culmination - a zone of multiple thrusting, folding and imbrication.
