Thanks, Annemarie. I never heard of Shilla, (nor of the Mato Grosso Org). it seems to be a small village in the wonderful region of Ancash. It is high, over 3000 m, but I am sure your niece acclimatized quickly. That will be quite an experience for her. Great that she is working with the people there!
