The photo depicts a scene from the coat of arms legend of the Lords of Pernštejn, the most important owners of our castle. The legendary ancestor of the Pernštejn family named Vaněk tamed an evil bison, brought it to the king and cut off its head in front of his eyes. For this, he received the right to use the coat of arms with a bison's head.
