Yep; brightly colored floaty things used for... um, something to do with fishing. :D If you click on the map and check out the satellite view, you can see the long fence between the house and the park; it's almost completely covered with these things.

Salem, I want to live in Salem! I went for a 'walk' on beach st! wow there is some fabulous houses there, too close to the neighbour for me, but beautiful all the same.

It is lovely, isn't it? It's about 30 minutes (or two hours, if you make the mistake of heading up there at the beginning of afternoon rush hour the day after the first blizzard of the season) from me; I like to go up there with a book and/or a camera and just sit and watch the water...
