I have a sentimental attachment to the old steel truss bridges so common in the Ohio and Mississippi Valleys, but I do like the look of these, at least when there's not a lot of other things cluttering up the profile. The new bridge in Louisville is a very similar design, but it's got so much stuff around it that it just doesn't fit in.

I've a similar like for the older truss bridges, but I recognize that's mostly nostalgia. I do, though, prefer the traditional suspension bridge -- these 'cable-stayed' are too symmetrical to me, looking like they were produced by a robot.
