I got caught in an intense thunderstorm around here last summer--I literally couldn't see, and found myself in the oncoming lane (at least there's not much traffic!) Turned out the buckets of cold rainwater fogged up my windshield on the inside, so it wasn't just that the wipers were overwhelmed! So our paths crossed in Utah, about a month apart--

In Montana the NPR coverage was very good and the stations were very good about running weather advisories, so I avoided some hail storms. Utah didn't have as good a coverage and I'd had some times that I was worried about flash floods on the day before this.
