Former LA City Zoo. This zoo closed in 1965, with the new zoo opening just a short distance away, still in Griffith Park. Much of the structure of the old zoo was built with the assistance of the WPA (Workers Progress Administration). This structure was in a back area and appeared to be a maintenace shed with temporary holding cages.
