Franklin Morrison, a stable hand at a local horse farm, was arrested. He told sheriff's deputies where he had buried the 15-year-old girl's clothing, but that evidence was thrown out -- deputies had continued to question him after he'd requested a lawyer. He was convicted anyway, of murder and rape.
