Tuesday 22 September 2026 (1223/1224) – Stagecoach East 19576 (AE10 BWJ) seen in Emmanuel Street, Cambridge when working the cross-city service 1 from Kings Hedges to Cherry Hinton and Fulbourn. It is an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Trident new in April 2010.

From early 2026 some Stagecoach East buses in Cambridge started to carry a sort of QR code alongside the destination display as part of a trial being carried out in the city. The codes store simple numbers used by computer vision systems and provide information to traffic signals (to give buses priority) and to traffic cameras (which regulate entry to bus only areas). If the experiment is successful it could replace the older style transponder technology which is becoming increasingly expensive to maintain.
