Friday 18 September 2026 (approx. 0750) – Stephensons of Essex 496 (YX63 LHU), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200D that had been new to Nottingham City Transport (397) in September 2013.

It was seen at Mildenhall when working the 0700 service 16A from Newmarket to Bury St. Edmunds. The main Newmarket-Bury St. Edmunds service is numbered 16. This is the only 16A journey in the timetable running on schooldays only towards Bury St. Edmunds in the morning with one return trip in the afternoon. The different points served include Moulton, Kentford, Mildenhall (College Heath Road) and Culford.

The bus station is up ahead. Since the closure of the enquiry office inside the bus station building, where just the public toilets were retained, the remaining area had been unsuccessfully advertised for let as a retail opportunity. It was finally decided to convert the unit for use as a town banking hub following the closure of the Lloyds and Barclays banks and the Post Office. Building work was taking place for the new use.
