Friday 18 September 2026 (0745) – Mulleys Motorways Limited buses in Mildenhall bus station both bound for Bury St. Edmunds on schoolday only services (both services are available to the general public).

LW51 ZHJ was working the 0730 service 955 from West Row to Bury St. Edmunds via Barton Mills, Icklingham, Lackford, and Flempton. It is an Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL new to Dublin Bus in January 2002 as their AV215 (01 D 10215).

YJ23 EKN was working the 0710 service 956 from Lakenheath to Bury St. Edmunds via Tuddenham, Cavenham and Risby. It is one of the two Optare MetroDeckers delivered to Mulleys in March 2023 which were part of an order placed by Reading Buses in June 2018 to operate the Green Line branded route 702 from London to Slough, Windsor and Legoland. Reading Buses cancelled the order in July 2020 as part of a number of financial cutbacks made following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. (Optare was renamed Switch Mobility in November 2020).

Since the closure of the enquiry office inside the bus station building, where just the public toilets were retained, the remaining area had been unsuccessfully advertised for let as a retail opportunity. It was finally decided to convert the unit for use as a town banking hub following the closure of the Lloyds and Barclays banks and the Post Office. Building work was taking place for the new use.
