Wednesday 16 September 2026 (1127) - Mulleys Motorways SJ02 AAW seen at Mildenhall when working the 1100 service 355 from Holywell Row and Beck Row to Bury St. Edmunds. It is a former Dublin Bus Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL which I believe was their AV248 (02 D 10248) new around January 2002.

In the background are two vehicles of Coach Services Limited of Thetford. Just behind is CS75 BUS, an MCV eVoRa bodied Volvo B8RLE new in November 2025, arriving as the 1025 service 357 from Bury St. Edmunds via Risby, Cavenham, Tuddenham, Herringswell, Red Lodge, Freckenham and Worlington. It was actually due here at 1115 and would go on to work the (1117) West Row circular service 358.

In the far background is BT63 UUR on layover between trips on service 80 (1000 from Thetford/1150 to Thetford). It is one of a pair of MCV eVolution bodied Volvo B7RLEs acquired from Simonds of Botesdale in early 2025 although they had been new to Webberbus, Bridgwater in December 2013. (BT63 UUP was the other vehicle acquired).

Since the closure of the enquiry office inside the bus station building, where just the public toilets were retained, the remaining area had been unsuccessfully advertised for let as a retail opportunity. It was finally decided to convert the unit for use as a town banking hub following the closure of the Lloyds and Barclays banks and the Post Office. Building work was taking place for the new use.
