Saturday 5 September 2026 (1716) – Islington Town Hall is a very busy place for marriages with some couples hiring vintage Routemaster buses to convey their wedding guests.

One of the last ceremonies of the day sees a recently married couple with AEC/Park Royal Routemaster SMK 744F that had been new to London Transport circa 1967 as their RML2744.

I believe the bus is from the fleet of RedRoutemaster.com based in West London, a company which hires out vintage Routemaster buses for film work, events, wedding parties etc.

The hire companies offer extra touches such as showing the names of those tying the knot on the destination screens and souvenir bus tickets also with those names on issued by the on board conductor. This one hired for the wedding of Lina and Felix.
