Stagecoach East buses in Cambridge - 15 May 2026 (P1230621)

Friday 15 May 2026 (1011) – Stagecoach East Alexander Dennis (ADL) built buses in Drummer Street Bus Station, Cambridge.

Left: 27852 (AE13 DZY), an Enviro300D new in May 2013, in ‘local services’ livery.

Right: 15219 (YN15 KHP), an Enviro400 bodied Scania N230UD new in August 2015. It wears the ocean green ‘special services’ livery for operation on the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. Having been one of the front line buses used on the Busway from new, between 2020 and 2023 (at least) it ran in plain green without any lettering/graphics. It may now be one of the additional buses back in more regular Busway use since a speed restriction was put in place as safety fencing is erected. Three pedestrian/cyclist deaths occurred on the Busway between 2015 and 2021 for which Cambridgeshire County Council was fined £6m for health and safety breaches. The normal maximum vehicle running speed was originally 56mph (90kph), the speed restriction at present is 30mph (48kph) further reduced to 20mph (32kph) at crossing points. All this has seen some reduced service frequencies and the need for extra buses.

In the background is 10802 (SN66 WAA), an Enviro400D MMC that was new in December 2016. It wears a livery representing that once employed by Cambus Limited prior to takeover by the Stagecoach Group in December 1995.
