Tuesday 9 September 2025 (1054) – Cambridgeshire Guided Busway

The third of five buses I travelled on today was Stagecoach East 21308 (BF65 WKX), a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B8RLE new in December 2015, working the 0936 service A from Trumpington Park & Ride to St. Ives Park & Ride. Seen here at Swavesey where I boarded for St. Ives.

This service travels across Cambridge city centre where there are few bus priorities, the buses share the roads with all other normal traffic which at peak times can be quite dreadful. With a service frequency of every 10 minutes it is hard to tell which timing a particular bus is operating. This trip was due here at 1044. The bus following is 21227 (AE09 GYX) working the 0946 service A from Trumpington Park & Ride to St. Ives Park & Ride. That was on time and had caught up with the 0936 worked by 21308.
