Stagecoach East bus leaving the Biomedical Campus, Cambridge - 10 Apr 2025 (P1200734)

Thursday 10 April 2025 (0917) – One of the twelve 98 seat Alexander Dennis Enviro400XLB bodied Volvo B8L tri-axle double deckers delivered to Stagecoach East in December 2019 for use on the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. Seen from multi-storey car park 2 on the Biomedical Campus, Cambridge.

With the aid of the tracker on the Bus Times website the bus could be 13902 (BU69 XYA) that had worked the 0715 service B from Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon which had terminated at the Rosie Maternity Hospital (on time from Cambridge Regent Street at 0901 but, with it being school holidays, had arrived at the Rosie quite early!). It was running out of service (to St. Ives Park & Ride arriving approx. 0950).

The windsock (bottom right) is close to the landing point used by the Air Ambulance Service helicopters.

An interesting transport scene. I have to confess that the first thing I saw was the train David! But that's just my obsession!
