Former Ribble 1482 (TRN 482V) as a playbus in Mildenhall - 21 Mar 2009 (DSCN2757)
Saturday 21 March 2009 (1028 hrs) – This former Ribble Motor Services (1482) Eastern Coachworks bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R new in February 1980 had become a mobile playbus.
I think it had broken down for it was parked near the Jubilee Centre in Mildenhall for a few days and is not normally so. The buildings on the left can still be identified. On the extreme left is the roof of what has become the B&M store (previously Wilko). The other, which is visible between the trees, is an office block where, at the opposite end, is where the Costa coffee shop stands.
The building on the right was the old Social Club later demolished to build the larger Sainsbury’s store. The club’s bowling green was between the building and the hedgerow in front of the parked cars.
