Saturday 7 September 1996 (approx. 0935) – Ferrybridge Service Area in South Yorkshire stands at the crossroads of two major English trunk roads. The A1 runs north to south (London to Edinburgh) and the M62 runs west to east (Liverpool to Hull).
Around 15 coaches can be seen in this view which had called in for refreshments and toilets. Coaches from the north-east of England (Longstaffs, Tyneside Coach Travel, A-Line) cross paths with Wright of Newark, Eagre of Gainsborough, Abbey Travel of Hull, Hagues of Sheffield etc. Other colour schemes include Applebys of Cornisholme, Road Car, Excelsior and perhaps a Tellings-Golden Miller Van Hool.
