Friday 12 May 1995 - Suffolk County Council had recently replaced the old Eastern Counties Omnibus Company timetable display on the bus stop by the Church in High Street, Mildenhall with one of its own style.

The blue plate above it advising that all express services departed from King Street had been in place well before I moved to the area in 1979 and was losing some of its lettering. Until the 1970s express coach services picked-up and set-down in the High Street but were re-located when the King Street lay-by was created.

The ECOC (National Bus Company era) bus stop flag that was fixed above the blue sign had fallen off at some point and was never replaced.

Later still the pole and the attachments disappeared completely although buses still stop there.
