First Eastern Counties Electroliner Kite at Cringleford - 26 Jul 2024 (P1180814)

Friday 26 July 2024 (1012) – In recent times a ‘bus interchange’ has been created at Cringleford on the western side of Norwich city centre close to where the A11 and A47 trunk roads intersect.

The facility is quite basic with a layby/shelter positioned either side of an open area which enables passengers arriving on out of town services, like First Eastern Counties (FEC) ‘excel’ services from points along the A47 (East Dereham, Swaffham etc) or Coach Services Limited service 90 from Thetford, to change to FEC’s local services 11 and 12 get to the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.

This view taken from the upper deck of Coach Services (CS22 BUS) which had just set down where the FEC Wrightbus GB Kite Electroliner now is both were heading towards Norwich city centre.
