Sunday 12 May 2024 – Mid Norfolk Railway Bus and Coach Day, East Dereham

Sanders Coaches 531 (BV23 NUU), an MCV eVoRa bodied Volvo B8RLE new in June 2023, arriving back from a trip to Yaxham.

The bus carries the name ‘Norfolk Wherry’. At their peak (circa 1900) there were over 300 such commercial trading vessels in service on the waterways of Norfolk. The Norfolk Wherry Trust website contains some history: wherryalbion.com

The photograph was taken from the upper deck of Go Ahead owned Konectbus/Hedingham/Chambers 502 (LF52 ZNE), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new to London General (WVL93), which was working the Park & Ride shuttle service.
