Saturday 4 March 2000 (approx. 1615) – First Manchester 1714 (J614 HMF), a Plaxton Beaver bodied Mercedes-Benz 811D acquired with the business of Citibus, Middleton in 1995, heads away from the old bus station bound for Kirkholt. It had been new to Capital Citybus in February 1992.

All the buildings in the background were demolished and replaced by new shops. The Metrolink tram tracks run now run across the scene with the terminus just off camera at right.
