Wednesday 16 June 2021 (1039) – A driver clambering out of the driver’s cab of a driverless vehicle!

During June 2021 trials of driverless shuttle vehicles were carried out in west Cambridge as part of a Government funded project through Innovate UK conducted by the Greater Cambridge Partnership, Smart Cambridge and engineering firm Aurrigo Driverless Technology.

The trial location was based on the Madingley Road Park and Ride site with vehicles operating to the nearby physical science and technology site of Cambridge University mainly along Charles Babbage Road to the Cavendish Laboratory.
