Delaine Buses 103 (F603 VEW) in Peterborough – 30 Apr 1994 (221-6)

Saturday 30 April 1994 - Delaine Coaches of Bourne, Lincolnshire 103 (F603 VEW), a Duple Dominant bus style bodied Leyland Tiger new in September 1988, seen parked close to Queensgate bus station in Peterborough. Seating 62 passengers achieved by the use of a 3+2 seating layout.

Not only does the vehicle carry roofline lettering for the old established service from Bourne to Peterborough via Market Deeping and Deeping St. James (collectively known as ‘The Deepings’) but on the side panel there is lettering for ‘The Bourne Flyer – Frequent and direct service to Queensgate via Bourges Boulevard’.

(H M Government’s Companies House website shows that Delaine Coaches Limited was re-named The Delaine Bus Company Limited on 27 November 1995 then Delaine Buses Limited on 26 February 1997)
