Cambus 624 (GNG 710N) and 741 (RAH 268W) at Depot Road, Newmarket – 21 Jul 1989
Friday 21 July 1989 – Cambus Limited Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VRs seen at Depot Road garage in Newmarket. Both were new to the Eastern Counties Omnibus Company and passed to Cambus when ECOC was split in September 1984.
Left is 624 (GNG 710N) new to ECOC in January 1975 as fleet number VR144. It was wearing bus livery and had bus seating (43 on the upper deck and 31 on the lower deck).
Right is 741 (RAH 268W) new to ECOC in March 1981 as fleet number VR268 wearing coach livery in the style introduced by the National Bus Company. It had higher backed seating (41 on the upper deck and 25 on the lower deck) and had additional luggage space on the lower deck.
