Thursday 4 August 2016 (1059) – Whippet Coaches WD440 (LK04 HZN) seen at the Cambridge rail station bus stops when operating the ‘Universal’ service. The service commenced on 23 July 2016 replacing the Stagecoach (Cambus) ‘Uni4’ service. A Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new in June 2004 new to First Centrewest (London) as their 32382. Whippet is now owned by Australian based Transit Systems which also owns Tower Transit, London. In June 2013 Tower Transit acquired First London’s operations, this bus came with the sale and was later transferred to Whippet.
