One of the few advantages of winter mornings, 57 degrees 35 north, is that dawns arrive at a relatively civilised 7.45 and later as we head towards 21st December (08.56-15.39), our shortest day, as opposed to 04:20 (-22.14) on 21st June, our longest day.
