The new Saint-Georges Church was built recently (20th century): the old 12th-century Saint-Georges Church was demolished in 1963, with the exception of the old bell tower and its bells. The new church was subsequently built 300 metres further away, but it has no bells because the marshy ground would have required foundations that were too heavy and expensive to support their weight. Nevertheless, a tower was added so that it would not be left "decapitated"! The fence marks the boundary of a gallery under the roof.

LA CLÔTURE DE LA TOUR DE L'ÉGLISE. La nouvelle église Saint-Georges est de construction récente (XXe siècle) : l’ancienne église Saint-Georges du XIIe siècle a été démolie en 1963, à l'exception du vieux clocher avec les cloches. Par la suite cette nouvelle église a été construite 300m plus loin, mais elle ne possède pas de cloches pour cause de terrain marécageux qui aurait nécessité de trop lourdes et onéreuses fondations pour supporter leur poids. Malgré tout une tour a été ajoutée pour ne pas la laisser "décapitée" ! La clôture délimite une galerie sous le toit.

DIE UMZÄUNUNG DES KIRCHTURMS. Die neue Kirche Saint-Georges ist ein jüngerer Bau (20. Jh): die alte Kirche Saint-Georges aus dem 12. Jh. wurde 1963 abgerissen, mit Ausnahme des alten Glockenturms mit den Glocken. Anschliessend wurde diese neue Kirche 300 m weiter entfernt gebaut, hat jedoch keine Glocken, weil der sumpfige Boden Fundamente erfordert hätte, die zu schwer und kostspielig gewesen wären, um ihr Gewicht zu tragen. Dennoch wurde ein Turm hinzugefügt, um sie nicht "kopflos" zu lassen ! Die Umzäunung begrenzt eine Galerie unter dem Dach.
